The Hampton Police Division is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspects involved in a shooting that occurred on April 4, 2017.
At 8:09 p.m., Public Safety Communications received a call in reference to a shooting that had just occurred in the 100 block of Pine Chapel Road. Upon arrival. officers located a 26-year-old Hampton man suffering from a single gun shot wound. He was transported to a local hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that unknown individuals fired several shots in the area and the victim was struck one time as a result. This incident remains under investigation and there is no suspect information to disseminate.
Anyone with information that will assist police is encouraged to contact the Hampton Police Division at 727-6111 or the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Tipsters can also send an anonymous tip via text message to the Crime Line by texting "HAMPTONPDTIPS plus your tip" to 274637 (CRIMES). Crime Line callers remain anonymous and never appear in court. If a Crime Line call results in an arrest, the caller is eligible for a reward up to $1,000.00.
