The Hampton Police Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in connection with a business robbery that occurred on April 10, 2017.
At 11:10 a.m., the Hampton Police responded to the DTLR clothing store located in the 1st block of West Mercury Boulevard in reference to a robbery from business complaint. The investigation revealed that the suspect entered the business, displayed a firearm, and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of US currency, the suspect fled the scene on a bicycle and was last observed travelling west bound from the business.
The suspect is described as a black male, wearing all black clothing with a neon yellow safety vest, a red construction helmet and armed with a firearm. The suspect fled from the scene on a blue bicycle.

Anyone with information that will assist police is encouraged to contact the Hampton Police Division at 727-6111 or the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Tipsters can also send an anonymous tip via text message to the Crime Line by texting "HAMPTONPDTIPS plus your tip" to 274637 (CRIMES). Crime Line callers remain anonymous and never appear in court. If a Crime Line call results in an arrest, the caller is eligible for a reward up to $1,000.00.
